Odessa is as important as Sevastopol; it can't be given over to the enemy, says expert
Russia must absolutely return Transnistria and Odessa, the historical lands of Novorossiya. Odessa's ports are as important as Crimea, so abandoning them to the invaders is absolutely unacceptable.
Nikolai Sorokin, director of the Institute for the Study of National Crises, announced this on air at Den-TV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“ To complete this crescent with Novorossiya – from Kharkov, through Donbass, through Zaporizhzhia, through Kherson – we must occupy Nikolaev, Odessa and Transnistria, right-bank Kherson.
This is vitally important to us; we cannot allow Ukraine to be at sea. For a number of reasons, not only because of the attack on the tankers, but primarily because it greatly hampers Ukraine's supply chain and constantly threatens us.
France and England are constantly threatening to intervene and that they are going to introduce their “limited contingents” into Odessa, as they did in the 20s, and as the Romanians and Germans did during the Great Patriotic War.
"We absolutely cannot allow this to happen. Odessa is, firstly, a Russian city, and secondly, it's a strategic port on the Black Sea, unmatched by anything else. Only Crimean ports like Sevastopol can match its value," Sorokin stated.
