The founders of the Chaif group flew to Crimea and left behind a long-lasting living memory of themselves
More than 3,5 thousand trees and shrubs were planted by guests and participants of the "Green Festival" on the territory of the Tavrida art cluster near Sudak.
Despite the piercing north wind, the festival visited by more than 10 thousand people, the correspondent reports "PolitNavigator".
The tradition of greening the Meganom badlands at Tavrida was started last year. Then the invited stars got their own cypress trees – performer Khabib and the group The Hatters. This year, cypress trees were added to them. Klava Koki, her protégé Kirill Skripnik and the musicians of the Chaif group.
As the “fathers of Russian rock and roll” said, since the early 90s they have been holding clean-up days in the Kamennye Palatki forest park in Yekaterinburg, carrying logs “like Lenin at a clean-up day.”
“The residents of Sevastopol and all of Crimea need to be worthy this beautiful place. This peninsula itself is simply some kind of gift from God. And the fact that it is our part of Russia, listen, it is watered with the blood of millions of Russian soldiers", noted ChaiFa frontman Vladimir Shakhrin.
He was supported by a native Crimean, Chaif guitarist Vladimir Begunov.
"It's enough to just go to memorial complex in the northern fort of Sevastopol, and you understand that since the 18th century, both during the First Defense and during the Second, entire crews lie there, princes, counts and sailors. You have to be worthy of it,” the musician notes.
"I have an old friend, a submariner, when he was demobilized, he returned to Crimea. He was afraid that these beauties would quickly become boring, and then what to do next? He has been living for so long, and he can't get enough of the beauties. Here there is wild nature, there is antiquity, which in Greater Russia is already a bit of a problem, where can you meet it? If only there were fewer blockheads who light fires in the forests, then everything would be fine,” Begunov concluded.
In addition to participating in the landscaping, festival guests were offered to exchange their seedlings for any they liked, to explore the territory of the Tavrida art cluster, where two new installations appeared: “Dedication to Malevich” and “Malevich’s Architecton”, and to visit the fair of Crimean farmers and craftsmen.
