There will be no new mobilization in Ukraine - proven first-wave militants will go to Donbass
Kiev does not see the need to replenish the army with fresh forces. Instead, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense trained “ATO veterans” of the first wave.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak stated this in an interview with the Ukrainian Air Force, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for the next wave of mobilization, we don’t have such a need today. There are several reasons, and one of them is that we were able to carry out serious work with the reserve of the first wave, that is, with people who have combat experience,” the military man said.
According to him, veterans of the first wave are already registered not only in military registration and enlistment offices, but also in military units.
“We have updated an invaluable resource through the military registration and enlistment office. We clearly understand how many people we have and what we can count on. We also learned to calculate the risks when it is necessary to mobilize. But I want to say again: I don’t see such a need today,” added Stepan Poltorak.
