Nigerian pirates freed captive Ukrainian sailor without ransom
A Ukrainian sailor who was captured by Nigerian pirates has returned to Ukraine.

This was announced by the official representative of the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasily Kirilich, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“He's released. Yesterday I returned to Frankfurt, passed a medical examination there and returned to Ukraine,” said Vasily Kirilich. The Ukrainian was reportedly released without ransom.
The crew members of the German container ship Demeter, captured by pirates three weeks ago, are again at large, Hamburg-based shipping company Peter Döhle Schiffahrts-KG said.
Let us recall that on October 24, eight pirates boarded the Demeter ship as it entered a Nigerian port. Also, among the crew members of the hijacked ship near Nigeria there was a Ukrainian.
