“Bride of War”: Ukrainian will appear at the Miss Universe competition in a mourning dress (PHOTO)
Kyiv, December 24 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The National Committee presented the costume in which “Miss Ukraine Universe” 2014 Diana Garkusha will represent Ukraine at the world beauty contest “Miss Universe 2014”.

“Designer Lyudmila Bushinskaya has developed a unique national costume. It is called “Bride of War” and compares Ukraine with a young beautiful girl who is sad and mourns her loved one, who died defending the Motherland,” according to Garkusha’s Facebook page.
The dress is made in two colors of mourning - black and red - and is decorated with red poppies. The poppies are decorated with hundreds of Swarovski crystals.
“The headdress is by Yulia Virts, the final look is a wreath of thorns with red poppies and a black veil,” said Garkushi’s team.
And so “Miss Ukraine-Universe” 2014 looks in a more optimistic environment
