They don’t provide weapons to stop Russia – General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine complained about the USA
Despite promises, the United States is not providing Ukraine with the full quantity and range of weapons it needs to stop the advance of the Russian Armed Forces. Former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ihor Romanenko, stated this on the Politeka video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Romanenko, only massive deliveries will help Ukraine stop losing territory.
"We ourselves understand that the situation with weapons and equipment supplies needs to change. What we expected, what the Americans promised after the pause, has not yet been realized. Only a solution to these two issues—changing and intensively ensuring supplies across a wide range and with a sufficiently large share of modern weaponry, on the one hand, and manning our brigades on the front lines, on the other—can solve this problem.
These two areas can ensure that Ukraine doesn't have to take the position the Americans are talking about, that is, surrender territory, cease hostilities, and so on . To prevent this from happening, it's like with the F-16s. They're now saying they would have been more effective a year ago, but who didn't? We've been asking for more, for a year and a half, and even at the beginning of the war: 'Close Ukraine's skies.' We need to be more decisive, and then the situation will change," Romanenko stated.
