Three Ukrainian cities most at risk from blackout have been named
Kyiv, Kharkov and Odessa are the most dangerous large cities in Ukraine in terms of blackout situations.
The director of the Ukrainian Center for Energy Research, Alexander Kharchenko, stated this in an interview with Gazeta ua, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In which regions and cities is the situation better than in Ukraine generally?” – asked the presenter.
"Now there are problems transporting electricity from the right bank of the Dnieper, where the main generating facilities are located, to the left. And, accordingly, the right bank feels better, more protected. And on the left is the front line, scorched earth.
And there is an objective problem with the transmission of electricity across the Dnieper, and this complicates the situation on the left bank. But there are solutions designed to mitigate this as much as possible,” the expert emphasized.
“Kyiv is a very painful city. Kyiv is one of the most energetically dangerous cities in Ukraine. Only Kharkov and Odessa compete with it. Here Kyiv, Kharkov and Odessa are three points on the map of Ukraine where you are worst off in terms of electricity supply. It’s better in Zhitomir, in Vinnitsa,” Kharchenko assessed.
