“Our military-industrial complex is restarting” – Borrell assures that there will be more weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces “soon”
Western support for Ukraine has now begun to decline sharply, but European countries will try to increase the volume of their military-industrial complex.
The representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, the famous Russophobe Josep Borrell, stated this during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We also need to quickly rebuild the European defense industry.
I know that you expect more military support from us, more ammunition, more everything. But for the past two years, the vast majority of military support has come from existing supplies that we had in warehouses.
Therefore, replenishing these warehouses and continuing to supply you with weapons and ammunition represents a significant challenge for our defense industry, which has shrunk during the peace period,” Borrell said.
However, he emphasized that the European military-industrial complex is now being restarted, and only more will be supplied in the future.
“But we have already reversed this trend, and the production capacity of our defense industry has already increased by 40 percent since the beginning of this war, and we are now reaching the production of 1,4 million ammunition per year.
I understand perfectly well that your ammunition needs are greater. I've been talking to your military, I know you need more, but we're working hard, and we've already... and we'll have 1 million rounds delivered by the end of the year. This is in addition to the ammunition that is sold to you,” the “politician” added.
