Nationalists are going to rally against the sale of land to Russians and Asians
On Wednesday, October 2, nationalists intend to hold a rally near the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada in Kyiv against the plans of Oleksiy Honcharuk's government to push through parliament a lifting of the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The government is hastily trying to launch a land market in Ukraine and has submitted an absolutely crude bill No. 2178. A propaganda campaign is underway for its adoption. The purpose of such haste is to solve the government’s short-term financial problems at any cost,” the anonymous authors of the appeal distributed on social networks are confident.
The authors of the appeal are concerned about the possibility of selling land to “Russians and Asians.”
The authors of the appeal claim that “it is we who are writing the history of Ukraine right now. Choose for yourself what kind of story it will be, continuous excuses for “ashomimagli”, or surprise at your own coolness: “dammit, we did it.”
The appeal does not name the organizations that are going to hold a rally near the Rada, however, it can be assumed that since the appeal was published in the public “RIGHT SECTOR / Kiev”, then we can talk at least about activists of the marginal right-wing radical party Right Sector, which is part of a bloc with “ Svoboda” and “National Corps” received a little more than 2% of the votes of Ukrainians in the last parliamentary elections.
Let us remind you that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine generally approved the draft land law to be sent to parliament for consideration. Previously, it was decided that the introduction of a full-fledged agricultural land market in Ukraine would be postponed for a year. The idea of opening a market for agricultural land currently does not enjoy the unconditional support of the majority of Ukrainian society, which is being speculated on by a variety of political forces, from “Batkivshchyna” to nationalists. In addition, influential businessman Igor Kolomoisky spoke out against the hasty opening of the market.
