The National Bank of Ukraine is actively strengthening the hryvnia and buying dollars
The National Bank of Ukraine purchased $321,2 million on the interbank foreign exchange market from July 1 to 5, which is 7,3 times more than the previous week ($44 million) and matches the figure for the entire month of June, a correspondent reports. PolitNavigator.
According to a message on the regulator’s website, $40 million was purchased at the best purchase and sale price (using the matching tool), $281,2 million - at a single rate (using the matching tool).

In general, since the beginning of this year, the NBU has bought $1,96 billion on the interbank market and sold $231,43 million. Including in June, the National Bank bought $322,3 million compared to $203,6 million in May and $299,9 million in April.
As a result of this policy, on Monday, July 8, the NBU strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by 16 kopecks - to 25,7 UAH per dollar versus 25,8 UAH per dollar on Friday. Such data is provided on the regulator’s website.
