An assassination attempt was being prepared on Ukrainian comedian Zelensky, ordered by a Chechen, - Gerashchenko
Kyiv, February 10 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – Police officers neutralized a criminal group of seven people who were preparing an attack on comedian Vladimir Zelensky and members of his family.

Advisor to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko reported this on his Facebook page.
“The Organized Crime Control Department of the Kharkov region, together with the Main Organized Crime Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained a criminal group of seven people, one of whom, according to operational data, has a connection with the head of the representative office of the Chechen Republic. For six months, this group collected information regarding Vladimir Zelensky and members of his family, both in Kyiv and in Krivoy Rog, where Vladimir is from,” Gerashchenko said.
According to him, it was this group that set fire to Zelenskyy's car, which was parked near the Ukraine Palace in Kyiv, on December 10th of last year . He claims that a large arsenal was seized during searches of the detainees' homes.
Also, the detainees, according to Gerashchenko, are suspected of 11 episodes of fraud on an especially large scale. So far, three people have been arrested and four were detained today.
"Investigators and detectives are currently determining the purpose of the scoundrels' stalking of Zelensky and his family—whether it was preparation for a simple robbery or kidnapping for extortion, or whether it was revenge for the satire directed at Ramzan Kadyrov ," Gerashchenko wrote.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against Ada Rogovtseva and Vladimir Zelensky.
