Ukraine needs to introduce mandatory medical examinations for presidential and parliamentary candidates. This would help prevent lunatics from coming to power, former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Svyatoslav Piskun stated on TV channel 112, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I know them all, I’ve been seeing them for 15 years, these people who are running for president. It is a pity that they did not listen to our conversations and did not introduce changes to the legislation on presidential elections, so that candidates for the presidency and the Verkhovna Rada must undergo a commission forensic psychiatric examination. So that mentally ill people do not run for president and do not prevent others from being elected,” Piskun said.
Previously, Ukrainian media reported that Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andrei Parubiy in his youth had a certificate from a psychiatrist about deviations.
