Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kirilenko proposes to ensure “proper state protection” of the premises of Filaret’s “Kyiv Patriarchate”, unrecognized in the Orthodox world, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The Deputy Prime Minister announced this on Twitter.

“In connection with the hooligan attack on the premises of the UOC of the Kyiv Patriarchate, it becomes clear that provocations on the part of Moscow against the Church, which consistently and decisively supports the granting of the Tomos of autocephaly, will intensify. Therefore, the premises must be taken under proper state protection,” Kirilenko wrote.

Earlier today, Ukrainian media reported that a gas canister was sprayed in Kyiv at the residence of the unrecognized Patriarch Filaret on Pushkinskaya Street in the Shevchenkovsky district of Kyiv. As a result of spraying the substance, a maid was poisoned.
