From 5 to 10 thousand foreign mercenaries are fighting on the side of Kyiv - CPI report
Moscow – Kyiv, February 2 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Shtamm) – The total number of foreign military personnel in southeastern Ukraine, representing pro-Kyiv forces, ranges from 5 to 10. Two weeks before the shelling of Mariupol, there were reports of approximately 2 foreign military specialists being deployed to the suspected conflict zone. This information was voiced in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda by Alexey Mukhin, director of the Center for Political Information, which prepared a report on the role of private military companies in the Ukrainian conflict.

“It’s mostly Poles who are fighting in Ukraine now, there are British and Americans. This kind of contingent fights for money. These are citizens of the world, in the bad sense of the word,” says Mukhin.
According to him, the Center has prepared a report on the role of private military companies (PMCs) in the Ukrainian and other local conflicts. The report says: “The presence of PMCs in Ukraine is reflected in the format of providing instructors for the so-called volunteer battalions, as well as in the format of small mobile groups disguised as regular military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to operational data from the region, the total numerical volume of foreign military presence in the southeast of Ukraine on the part of pro-Kiev forces ranges from 5 to 10 thousand people. Two weeks before the shelling of Mariupol, there was information about the transfer of about 2 thousand foreign military experts to the area of the alleged conflict.”
“Unlike them, these PMC employees moving from the zone of one conflict to the zone of another, the fate of the Ukrainian national battalions is unenviable,” Mukhin quotes the report of his center. “Their composition, the nature of their selection and special training imply that they are working and will work to “exterminate the disloyal population.” At the end of the operations, they will be charged with crimes and, quite likely, a quick and merciless trial, so that information about the instructors and inspirers who advised them does not become public knowledge. The capture and destruction by extrajudicial methods of the most odious of them has already begun.”
