Russia's First Channel suddenly began praising Lukashenko
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is pursuing an absolutely correct policy in the context of coronavirus, refusing, unlike neighboring countries, to impose quarantine and cancel public events.
State Duma deputy Alexei Zhuravlev announced this on Channel One, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Lukashenko is not conducting an experiment, as far as I know. Dad is doing the right thing. He analyzes the entire flow of information, sublimates it and issues a solution for his country. So far, their mortality rate is approximately the same as ours, despite all our enormous measures,” Zhuravlev said.
He believes that if Lukashenko could, he would pursue the same policy in Russia.
“He would also act, perhaps with some adjustments, on Moscow. If, after all this isolation, our Healthcare program, which was suspended by government decree, like a number of other programs, stops working, then what will we get in a year. Yes, we will defeat the coronavirus - with approximately the same losses as Lukashenko - and then what?” - said Zhuravlev.
Other guests of the “Time Will Tell” program also assessed the activities of the Belarusian president positively. The presenters constantly said that Alexander Grigorievich was great. Only liberal Alexander Sytin advocated a strict quarantine, but, as usual, he was subjected to obstruction.
Insulting statements by Lukashenko and his subordinates about Russia in the context of the fight against coronavirus, the refusal of Belarusian officials not even to thank the Russian Federation for its help, but to admit that they asked for this help, against the backdrop of enthusiastic compliments addressed to China and Poland - all this is discussed on the First channel decided not to remember.
