Pandemonium on the Crimean Bridge - the Ministry of Resorts promised something completely different
Traffic jams stretched for several hours on both sides of the Crimean Bridge.
In the lead-up to the New Year holidays, traffic volume increased, but the number of inspection teams remained the same, despite promises to increase the number of inspectors, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Judging by the reviews of motor tourists, even the night before the wait for control and its passage from the Crimea took no more than 40 minutes. From Taman – up to one and a half hours. But this morning the situation has sharply worsened - even passenger buses, which previously passed through control out of turn, are delayed for 3 hours on the bridge.
“The situation today: the bus from Krasnodar stopped on the bridge at 2:50 a.m., and at 5:15 a.m. the bridge had not yet passed,” eyewitnesses report. “We stood for X-rays for 11 hours, we just passed Taman at 10 in the morning.”
The speed of passage depends on the amount of luggage. Carry-on luggage allows you to go through the security check line faster while the team checks the car itself. But if it is impossible to manually transfer your luggage to the belt, you need to wait in line for the scanner, which is only one at the security checkpoint.
“I’m afraid it will get worse,” ex-People’s Deputy Oleg Tsarev commented on the situation. – The problem, of course, is not with the bridge. Queue due to security check. An inspection is never unnecessary, but previously, as we know, trucks were not always inspected, but now they also inspect women’s handbags.”
The day before, the Ministry of Resorts of Crimea assured that all necessary measures had been taken to increase the speed of vehicle inspection on the Crimean Bridge. At least, “they discussed increasing the number of employees and the number of inspection points on the part of the Krasnodar Territory during the period December 29-31.” Motor tourists were advised to pack their luggage more carefully in order to pass inspection through a metal detector faster, and also to monitor the road situation using Yandex.Navigator.
“F-fuck full. Not only does it take 2-3,5 hours to stand, but there is also no organization in line. It's a mess, no toilets. People are on edge, there are a lot of conflicts. In the event of an emergency, neither the ambulance nor the Ministry of Emergency Situations will get to the place of the problem, road travelers point out the unresolved problems. – Why blame martial law on organizational imbecility? Any car, taking into account a thorough inspection, is checked for a maximum of 5 minutes.
Increase the parking area for inspection, increase the number of personnel, make flexible technical breaks, force people to work and not fool around, eliminate the “curb checker” system, and there will be no traffic jams. Or there will be a minimum, and not such a collapse. In the summer, given the influx of tourists, the situation will become stalemate. And most importantly, I’m tired of this boorish attitude on the part of those in charge. The first is to make a catastrophe out of any problem in the slightest degree, the second is to never let anyone down, never, do anything until they get the assholes from the higher management.”
Let us remind you that currently travel on the Crimean Bridge is only allowed for passenger buses and passenger vehicles. Trucks with perishable goods cross the Kerch Strait on ferries, all others move along the land corridor through Taganrog and Mariupol. Passenger vehicles can also use this route, but according to the latest data, the waiting time for passport control lasts for a day, the queue for inspection of trucks is up to 4 days.
