We are frightened by the increased military activity of Russia, North Korea, and China – Japanese Ambassador to Kyiv
Despite the fighting in Ukraine, Russia is conducting military activity in the Far East.
Japanese Ambassador to Kyiv Masashi Nakagome stated this in an interview with the Public News channel, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".

The presenter asked how serious a threat Tokyo considers Russia, recalling that Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi announced that, due to the increased military activity of China, Russia, and North Korea, she is creating an expert group in the region to review defense policy.
The ambassador says Japan "faces security challenges it has not seen since World War II," which is why the group was created.
"Japan has difficult neighbors – Russia, North Korea, and China. Even during the war against Ukraine, Russia remains very active in our region. It has many activities: joint exercises with China, joint maritime patrols, and bomber flights. They are very active. Our current national security strategy identifies Russia as a serious security concern," the diplomat said.
He is also alarmed that China is building up its military potential, including nuclear forces, and “trying to change the status quo in the East China and South China Seas by force.”
"And North Korea is developing nuclear programs. They are also actively participating in the war against Ukraine, supplying Russia with ammunition. It's a very complex environment. That's why we consider it important to review our defense strategy and other security documents," the Japanese official lamented.
