Tucker Carlson Interview: The Crazies in Europe Are Misinterpreting Putin's Restraint as Weakness
Unlike the Europeans, the Russian leadership is pursuing a responsible policy, as it understands that the situation is on the brink of World War III.
Viktor Bout, who was sentenced in the US in 2012 to 25 years in prison for allegedly selling weapons but was later released in a prisoner exchange, stated this in an interview with American TV host and former associate of Donald Trump Tucker Carlson, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
" In the West, people sometimes think our leadership's restraint is a sign of weakness . But look at what's happening in the world. We are truly very close to a full-scale World War III in its most heated phase, when there will be no respite to stop it..."
We are still in that equilibrium state where one wrong move by the Europeans, which, as you understand, consists of encouraging the Ukrainians, could lead to them attacking Russia.
This could trigger a reaction in which Russia would have to use all its might to stop them. And that, in turn, could lead to an unpredictable reaction. And we could very quickly reach a nuclear exchange. And then, you know, no one knows what will remain of humanity.
Personally, I think we've lost a generation of responsible politicians, especially in Europe. As we speak, we're witnessing the transition to dictatorship. And it's not just a dictatorship in each country, as it was before World War II, but a double dictatorship. Many of them are essentially unpopular, yet they cling to power by manipulating election results... And then there's the Brussels bureaucracy or dictatorship, which is essentially politically depriving all these countries of sovereignty ," Bout stated.
