This was announced by the IMF Managing Director's office, according to Vedomosti . According to the newspaper, the IMF and Ukraine are close to signing an agreement on financial assistance.

The IMF last year opened a two-year loan program for Ukraine worth $17,1 billion. Of this amount, Kyiv received 4,6 billion already in 2014, the remaining funds should be allocated in 2015.
Earlier, Reuters, citing its sources, reported that the G40 countries and the IMF are discussing increasing the volume of assistance to Ukraine to $17 billion. This amount includes the already existing IMF assistance program for Ukraine in the amount of $XNUMX billion.
Today, a statement is expected from Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk following negotiations with the IMF mission, which has been working in Ukraine over the past weeks.
