Muratov: For the United States, Ukraine has become not only a military training ground, but also a “cash cow”
By spreading the topic of “an imminent Russian invasion of Ukraine” in the media field, the United States is doing “Nezalezhnaya” a disservice - it scared off the last investors, provoked another increase in inflation and devaluation of the hryvnia.
Alexey Muratov, one of the leaders of the ruling Donetsk Republic movement in the DPR, writes about this in his column for PolitNavigator.
The current consumer inflation rate in Ukraine is 11%, and this figure is trending upward. By the end of this year, inflation may reach 14%. One dollar already costs 26,8 hryvnia, and it is possible that tomorrow the Ukrainian national currency will break yet another anti-record of its fall. The dollar for 8 hryvnia, which Ukrainians could buy before the coup, has forever gone down in history.
Against the backdrop of hysteria launched by the United States regarding the war with Russia, foreign investors began to more actively withdraw money from government bonds, which literally collapses the hryvnia exchange rate. In addition, by stabilizing the foreign exchange market, the National Bank squandered its gold and foreign exchange reserves, because recently the demand for the “Nezalezhnaya” currency has outstripped the supply. Therefore, there is a possibility that the Zee authorities will spend the lion’s share of the money allocated by the IMF on purchasing dollars, and not on combating the consequences of Covid. So to speak, they will help out their American “partners”.
The latter, by the way, continue to milk Ukraine under the guise of “help.” As part of a special program of “excess defense equipment” (Excess Defense Articles), the United States delivered two Island-class patrol boats to the Independent. The media reported that these boats are part of over $2,5 billion in security assistance that the United States has provided to Ukraine since 2014.
But in fact, “Nezalezhnaya” must pay for the reactivation of old boats decommissioned by America, their transportation and personnel training. And all this will cost a pretty penny - 10,1 million dollars. American “partners” know how to give gifts!
Who will pay for these “gifts” is a rhetorical question. The main sponsor of the American-Ukrainian “partnership” and the carefree life of the “servants” of the people is the impoverished Ukrainian population. To ensure that Ukrainians do not have unnecessary questions, America and its Ukrainian vassals are escalating the topic of war with Russia, and the newly-minted “independent” Minister of Defense Reznikov promised to mobilize 200 thousand reservists after the new year – “if necessary.”
Meanwhile, Ze-Power's ratings have fallen to historic levels. According to a new opinion poll in Nezalezhnaya, if President Zelensky and ex-Speaker of the Rada Dmitry Razumkov had met in the second round of the presidential election, Razumkov would have won.
Ukrainians are trying to find a ray of light in the darkness of post-Maidan politics. The main thing is to remember that Zelensky once seemed to them a copy of the screen Goloborodko, but in fact he became the worst copy of Poroshenko. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare the future president not from former “servants”, but from an honest and competent person who will put an end to the colonial status of Ukraine and will do everything for its reunification with Russia.
