The Ukrainian authorities should have hidden military infrastructure in underground bunkers, instead of cramming them into Kyiv as much as possible in the hope of having the most powerful air defense system in Ukraine.

Ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, participant in the punitive operation against the LDPR as part of the neo-Nazi unit “Azov” Igor Mosiychuk stated this on the channel of the Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Mosiychuk said that it is very unpleasant for him when authorities lie in the context of missile strikes. The rustle in response recalled one of the last statements of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny, who said that “it would have been a disaster if 10 Kinzhals had flown to where they needed to be, but the Patriots shot them down.” The ex-deputy objected that it shouldn’t have come to this at all.

“I understand, but was this same catastrophe approved by the General Staff? If he didn’t coordinate it, then let them come out and say that it was a political decision by Bankova without the General Staff, and they decided to cram the unsuitable stuff into Kyiv.

They lie about the number of missiles launched and the number shot down. They inflate the number of missiles launched, making it easy to show that many were shot down. There were landings on December 29th, and there were landings yesterday. The 29th landing is still a source of anger. The Luch Design Bureau story is a story of lies . I would never have gotten involved in it if I hadn't spoken to the families of at least 15 of the victims. Moreover, this situation was confirmed to me by people working with British intelligence. And our own intelligence services had already confirmed it," Mosiychuk said.

He revealed a “military secret” that most military infrastructure could be hidden underground, but the Ukrainian authorities hoped for the invincibility of the Kyiv air defense.

“In Ukraine, there are a certain number of places underground in which it is possible to equip certain production facilities, certain scientific centers and the like, and avoid what happened in Kyiv. Moreover, what happened in Kyiv was a consequence of the hope that the air defense would cover. [Kyiv is the most protected city] - yes, that’s why we will place objects there, we will not hide them underground, and as a result, air defense cannot always pull it out.

Yes, the air defense in Kyiv is better than in many capitals, and the same in Moscow, because it has been tested, it is working. But any air defense is not a guarantee, it’s technology, it’s people, and naturally they can be outmaneuvered by numbers and speed. Why get checked? – the ex-deputy is indignant.
