"It's a life-and-death battle there. Because for Plahotniuc, Shor ( criminal oligarchs who fled the country – ed. ), and Dodon ( former president, opposition leader – ed. ), it's a matter of life and death. If they lose now, maybe someone will manage to escape, but Shor definitely won't. So I think Sandu will win, but it won't be easy," Belkovschi said.

He explains the inevitability of the victory of a pro-Western president by a change in the proportion of Moldovans working in the EU and in Russia.

“Her election victory meant one thing. That the number of Moldovans economically dependent on the European Union has significantly exceeded, which was not the case until recently, the number of Moldovans (in both the first and second cases we are talking primarily about guest workers) economically dependent on Russia. The trend has already emerged.

And for the residents of Moldova, it is important that Moldova is in the European Union, wash or roll, because for them this is, again, a matter of life and death. It's a matter of work.

The economy of Moldova does not allow feeding the population without integration with the European Union. Therefore, I believe that Sandu, despite the enormous resistance of all three listed characters, who have a lot to lose, including life and freedom, will win,” Belkovsky said.

Let us remember that Sandu is trying to dissolve parliament and call early elections to get rid of the disloyal majority. Dodon accuses her of usurping power and putting pressure on the Constitutional Court of Moldova.
