Ministry of Energy of Ukraine: The Russians did not expect how quickly we would fix everything
All elements of the energy system that were destroyed as a result of Russian missile strikes have been restored in record time, and Ukrainian nuclear power plants are gradually returning to operation.
Adviser to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Lana Zerkal stated this on Radio NV, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"As far as I know, Zaporizhzhya NPP is already connected to the Ukrainian grid and receiving power. The critical hazard has already been eliminated. As for the other plants, they are gradually increasing their production. They are connected to the grid. Of course, the grid doesn't have all the capacity to supply Ukrainians with electricity . We currently have only half the required generation."
It is difficult to say now how quickly nuclear generation will be able to increase, because they also work in the same difficult conditions, and it is important to ensure safety, and this is the most important thing.
Almost all the infrastructure that is being connected first has already been connected. Consumers are fueled. That is, we are rising very quickly. This critical moment lasted only 14 hours.
In 14 hours, our specialists managed to connect the system - this is a very good result, which the Russians did not count on. They expected that they would completely destroy the system, and we would not be able to recover,” the Mirror boasted.
However, despite the cheerful reports from Mirrors, on Friday evening, DTEK CEO Alexander Fomenko clarified that Kyiv is only 30% supplied with electricity.
“In other words, there will be light for 4 hours, but there will be no light for eight hours,” he described the situation.
