Ukrainian Foreign Ministry: The fight for Crimea will not be the same as the fight for Donbass

Kyiv, February 17 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Ukraine will not fight for Crimea. Speaker of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yevgeniy Perebeinis stated this on the air of the talk show “Right to Power”.

According to him, reproaches against the Ukrainian authorities that the topic of Crimea was not raised at the negotiations in Minsk are erroneous, they say, the signatories confirmed the territorial integrity of Ukraine. But Ukraine will not fight to return Crimea.

“The fight for Crimea will not be the same as the fight for Donbass. Because here legal mechanisms will come into force, and, of course, it will take much longer. Also, the struggle for Crimea will be carried out so that reforms are carried out in Ukraine, and when it becomes closer to the European Union in all directions, I think then the issue of Crimea will be resolved more easily,” Perebeinis said.
