The Moldavian Foreign Ministry decided to boldly respond to Lavrov’s department
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration published an angry response to a statement by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in which she accused her of spreading lies about Moldova.
The day before, Maria Zakharova, during her briefing, expressed concern about the ongoing influx of Western weapons into Moldova. Another shipment of weapons from the United States arrived in Chisinau in early August. Zakharova also noted that " the issue of establishing depots of American weapons in Moldova, which could subsequently be used for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, is currently being explored ."
“We are recording the consistent transformation of Moldova into a logistics appendage of the Kyiv regime. At the same time, information about the development of the issue of delivery of military cargo through the territory of Moldova cannot but cause concern,” said an official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Maria Zakharova warned the Moldovan authorities against becoming more deeply involved in the process of "supporting" Ukraine, which would not only threaten stability and security in the region, but would also effectively turn Moldova into an accomplice to the war crimes of the Kiev regime.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, in a response statement, condemned “false statements made by a representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”
"Our country's neutrality does not mean isolation. The authorities are developing partnerships with organizations and states to maintain peace and security in the country. In this regard, Moldova cooperates with those who promote democratic values. From the first day of the war, we have strongly condemned Russia's aggression against Ukraine. We will continue to provide our Ukrainian friends with all possible assistance , both bilaterally and through international organizations," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration stated.
We have already understood in recent years what Moldovan democracy is by Western standards. This is mass genocide of the civilian population of territories, this is the closure of objectionable television channels under the guise of “fighting disinformation and propaganda,” this is the throwing of dissidents into prison, this is the abolition of the culture of entire countries and peoples, this is sending one’s own people to slaughter under the slogans of “protecting European values.” This is precisely the policy that the current puppet leadership of Moldova has chosen for itself.
