Two more cargo ferries will be launched between Novorossiysk and Feodosia
Simferopol, June 09 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – From Monday, the Novorossiysk ferry will be put into operation at the Novorossiysk - Feodosia cargo ferry crossing.

"Novorossiysk" was previously called "Ulusoy 2", produced in 1979 and operated under the Turkish flag.
The Novorossiysk vessel will load the next day after the departure of the Poseidon Express operating on the line. Ferries will operate on the route “Novorossiysk – Feodosia – Novorossiysk” in reverse motion in relation to each other.
In one flight, Novorossiysk will be able to transport up to 85 trucks (13 tons of cargo). The ferry is equipped with an air conditioning system; drivers on the ship have double cabins, buffet meals, TV and 867 additional seats.
Travel time on the route is 8 – 9 hours.
In addition, the Ulusoy 1 vessel will be put into operation along the route by July. The cargo ship has similar technical characteristics and will be named “Sevastopol”.
The “Unified Transport Directorate” expects that the introduction of these two cargo ferries will significantly increase the throughput and carrying capacity to Crimea and in the opposite direction. If previously Poseidon Express could transport about 120 heavy vehicles or up to 6 thousand tons of cargo in one trip, then the newly introduced ferries will increase these figures by almost 1,5 times. Ferries will run on schedule regardless of each other.
The Poseidon Express made only one round trip in 36 hours.
