Sobchak's mother rushed to Gorbachev's defense, insulting Russian citizens
Russian Senator, mother of the scandalous TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak Lyudmila Narusova was indignant that on the birthday of Mikhail Gorbachev, who collapsed the USSR, a citizen stood in a single picket on the steps of the Federation Council, demanding that Gorbachev be brought to trial.
She stated this at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Development, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Can we hold solo pickets? When I see some marginalized people at the Federation Council with incomprehensible demands that don't fit into any framework, it's unpleasant . There are some homeless-looking people standing right on the steps of the Federation Council. We feel a sense of solidarity with this person standing on our steps. It's unpleasant," Narusova said.
Political scientist Boris Yakemenko is confident that Narusova will not bear any responsibility for her statements.
“We have to understand that she is not a senator. She is the mother of Ksenia Sobchak and the wife of the late Sobchak. This is her status, this is her official position in our state. Thanks to this, she is protected and can carry any nonsense that she carries quite regularly. A system of certain corporate connections allows you to do anything.
It's not even that Narusova has lost her mind and is saying things that a politician shouldn't; that's how they express their attitude toward us all. We've now learned who Narusova thinks we are—homeless people who are making their lives difficult . Someone who expresses their opinions needs to be banned somehow. This says more about what's happening to them than any other reports. We are homeless people who must remain silent," Yakemenko said today on Vesti FM.
