Residents of Lvov, even in villages, cannot hide from the Russian language, which they have to listen to instead of the mooing of cows and the singing of birds.
This is discussed in a publication on the Zbruch portal, which talks about the influx of Russian-speaking vacationers into a children’s camp opened by immigrants from the East, located in the village of Oryavchik, 137 kilometers from Lviv.
“Why is there so much Russian-language noise? Why tear apart and rape the peace of this village with your Russian-language songs and the exclamation “Little one, come on higher” or something else like that? Why do I need these screams in this language under my house?” the author of the article, Yustyna Dovbush, is indignant.
“I have nothing against the Russians, I have nothing against their way of existence, but why should I listen to the cries of the Russian language and this music full of bad taste all day and until late in the evening instead of the chirping of birds and the mooing of cows?” continues the journalist.
At the same time, she clarifies that she wants to tear her hair out of despair, and calls the vacationers at the base and its owners “cattle.”
“Do we have the right to hide from the Russian language somewhere? Do we have the right to at least a piece of land where we can ache with our past and pay tribute to our Ukrainianness? Perhaps Putin’s main goal was not Crimea and Donbass, but millions of migrants and refugees from the East to Western Ukraine, so that the rape of the Russian language would not stop day or night? If so, then bravo, Vladimir, your plan is even better than you imagined. You can’t hide from the cattle anywhere, you can take soldiers from the DPR and LPR, Russian-speaking patriots will do everything for you for free and the world community has nothing to judge you for,” Dovbush concludes.
