The agreements concluded in Turkey on the export of grain from the ports of Ukraine do not cancel the conduct of military operations in the southern regions of the former Soviet republic - this explains the missile attack on military facilities in the port of Odessa on Saturday.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In the episode that occurred in Odessa, there is nothing in the obligations that Russia assumed, including within the framework of the agreements signed on July 22 in Istanbul, that would prohibit us from continuing the NWO, destroying military infrastructure and other military targets. Representatives of the UN Secretariat yesterday confirmed precisely this reading of the signed documents.

As for the targets on which high-precision strikes were carried out, they are located in a separate part of the Odessa port, in the so-called military part, and the targets were a combat boat of the Ukrainian Navy and an ammunition depot, where Harpoon anti-ship missiles were recently delivered. Delivered in order to create threats to the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Now these "Harpoons" do not pose a threat to us.

Also, objective experts confirmed that the grain terminal of the Odessa port is located at a considerable distance from the military unit. There are no obstacles to ensuring that grain, in accordance with the agreements signed in Istanbul, begins to be delivered to customers, and we did not create them,” Lavrov said.

The words of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry were confirmed by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

“This is exclusively related to military infrastructure. This is in no way related to the infrastructure that is used to fulfill agreements for the export of grain. This cannot and should in no way affect the start of the shipment process,” Peskov told reporters.
