Kunitsyn returned to the post of presidential representative in Crimea
Simferopol, February 27 (Navigator, Astra Yazyka) – Acting President of Ukraine, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Turchynov, by one decree dismissed the presidential representative in Crimea Viktor Plakida, and by another appointed Sergei Kunitsyn to this position.
Both decrees were promulgated by the official representative of the acting. President of Ukraine.

Kunitsyn already headed the presidential representative office in Crimea in 2010, having received this post after his dismissal from the post of head of the Sevastopol city state administration.
As permanent representative, Kunitsyn never tired of admiring President Viktor Yanukovych, his “tiger leaps” and his ability to conduct dialogue with both the European Union and Moscow.
But in October 2010, Yanukovych fired Kunitsyn from the post of his permanent representative in Crimea. However, Kunitsyn took sick leave to wait for his deputy mandate in the Supreme Council of Crimea and only after that left his post.
According to an audit by the Control and Audit Commission of Ukraine, Kunitsyn and his subordinates in the Sevastopol Regional State Administration in the period 2008-2009. committed violations totaling UAH 132 million (almost $17 million).
“These include violations of the law, theft, shortages, and inflated volumes. All these negative phenomena are the result of spending public funds in various sectors of the economy in 2008-2009,” said Elena Chechulina, Deputy Chairman of the GlavKRU.
A special commission to verify the legality of land orders of the Northern City State Administration, when Kunitsyn was its chairman, counted illegal land acquisitions on more than 700 hectares of the territory of military units of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, farmland, forestry and protected areas. Even on the day of his resignation from the post of head of the SSGA, Kunitsyn managed to coordinate more than 60 land allotments.
