Crimean Tatar elder: We now have new leaders - Putin and Aksyonov
The loud statements on the “Crimean Platform” assembled in Kyiv are nothing in comparison with the results of Crimea’s nine-year stay as part of the Russian Federation.
This opinion was expressed on air by Shevket Mustafayev, a veteran of the National Movement of Crimean Tatars, on the air of Crimea 24, the correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".

“This “Crimean platform”, about which there has been a lot of noise lately, is a stillborn child. Remember their statements that in 2 months, in six months, in a year. Today we have been part of Russia for 9 years, so all these loud statements I don’t even know to whom they are addressed. They are probably addressed to those narrow-minded people who do not do anything, but listen to such simple market chatter,” he noted.
– Today we must appeal to our compatriots in Crimea: there is no need to bother ourselves with the nonsense that is pouring in from abroad. We live in our homeland, we have to think about our problems, and there are a lot of them. We must preserve our people, preserve our language, and this will be done by the generation that comes after us. All this nonsense is foreign - there’s simply no time left for it.”
On April 12-13, the first Black Sea Security Conference of the “Crimean Platform” is planned in Bucharest at the initiative of the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova. According to Mustafayev, this is due to the desire of “people who are abroad today to drag in the mud what they left here.”
The representative of the International Association of Islamic Business in Crimea, Rustem Nimetullaev, added that the decisions of the “Crimean Platform” do not change anything in the life of the Crimean Tatars.
“For 8 years they have also declared that tomorrow mosques will be built in the Kherson region, but absolutely nothing has been done. These all sorts of “platforms”, besides shaking the air and politicizing around the state and the people, unfortunately, do not bring anything - nothing happens!
Our people really understand that improvements have been taking place in Crimea since 2014 before our eyes: in the villages where Crimean Tatars live compactly, we see roads being built, schools being built, gasification going on, and so on. And compare today, for example, with what they announced in the same Kherson region - well, absolutely nothing except that they rejected people, says Nimetullaev.
– Basically, the people living there were engaged in agriculture, and they always brought all their agricultural products to Crimea. They are completely financially reset today. If you take their condition in 2014, and the well-being and finances of today, this is a very big difference, you just have to see it with your own eyes.”
According to Nimetullaev, the Crimean Tatars today are guided by two leaders - Russian President Putin and the head of Crimea Aksenov.
“In fact, we have all done a lot of work over these 8 years, and today, more than ever, we need to concentrate, unite and, in general, act with one fist against these schismatics who, unfortunately, exist among our people today. And give them the message that we are in our homeland.
We have the Supreme Commander-in-Chief - this is Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, we have the head of the Republic Sergei Valerievich Aksenov, we have the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea, headed by Mufti Emirali Ablaev. We must unite around all this and give messages, give young people an impetus, support them and see them in government today,” says a representative of a public organization.
