“Cooler than Che Guevara” – Stalin becomes the idol of Russian youth
Almost half (48%) of Russians support the installation of a monument to Joseph Stalin on the next anniversary of the Great Victory. Against 20%.
This is evidenced by a sociological study by the Levada Center, which has been recognized as a foreign agent, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Over the past 16 years, the number of “Stalinists” has grown by almost 30%. In 2005 there were 29%. At that time, 37% of Russians were against the monument to Stalin. It is significant that the number of supporters of the installation of the monument increased most among young people (18-24 years old) - from 11 to 50%.
As for the Stalin Center museum complex, supporters of its construction also predominate in society: about 60% of Russians are in favor, 30% are against. Among the museum's supporters, young people are also more common.
