Kornilov ridiculed the statement of the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine about the migration crisis
Russia and Belarus are planning to create a migration crisis in Ukraine, similar to what is observed today on the Polish-Belarusian border.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevgeny Yenin stated this to the publication "RBK-Ukraine", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
According to Yenin, the situation on the borders of the European Union countries with Belarus has “signs of further escalation,” and “there is an increase in the flow of migrants to the border regions of Ukraine.”
“Neighboring states are resorting to hybrid technologies of “increasing refugee flows,” primarily in the border regions of Ukraine in order to destabilize the socio-political situation. This is a shameful attempt to create a migration crisis in Ukraine. Over the past week, two Cuban citizens were detained on the section of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. They illegally entered Ukraine from the territory of Belarus and planned to go to Poland in the future,” Yenin said.
He also emphasized that to combat migrants, Ukraine is strengthening the border with drones and service dogs.
“Measures are being taken for the engineering development of a section of the state border between Ukraine and Belarus. The state border protection agencies of Ukraine will be strengthened with personnel, equipment and special means, including drones, and service dogs,” added the deputy minister.
The words of a Ukrainian official about the “migration crisis” were ridiculed by political scientist Vladimir Kornilov in his blog.
“This is a masterpiece, I tell you! The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine complained that “neighboring countries” (presumably Belarus and the Russian Federation) are “shamefully” creating a migration crisis in Ukraine. It's scary, right? And this was expressed in the fact that over the course of a whole week, as many as 2 (two!!!) Cubans were detained at the border who were trying to transit through Ukraine to Poland). This is a “crisis,” Kornilov sneers.
