Ukrainian far-right politician, former adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and now the head of the trade union of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ilya Kiva, stated this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, it was the Kiva battalion that organized the blockade of Crimea in 2015, and the Mejlis members joined it later and usurped the position.
“Be that as it may, no matter what they write or say, it was Kiva with the Kherson battalion who organized the blockade of Crimea. It was then that the Tatars arrived and declared their participation in this blockade. It was then that Lenur Islyamov appeared, who with all his might squeezed law enforcement officers out of the history of the blockade of Crimea. Why? Yes, because they then began to directly receive money from those people who crossed the existing border. It is inconvenient today to say that the Tatar battalion, as they call it, is a gang that robs farmers today, which has illegal weapons and, for some reason, does not go to the anti-terrorist operation zone to increase combat effectiveness. And he’s sitting in the warm Kherson steppe, doing nothing,” Kiva said.
