This was reported by the Kiev publication Antikor.
“Igor Shportyuk is a fairly widely known personality not only in Kramatorsk, but also outside the city. In 2014, a crime boss from Kramatorsk “met guests” from Russia. During the occupation by Russian terrorists, Shportyuk was seen more than once by residents of the city in the company of militants seizing the city’s administrative buildings. At spontaneous rallies, he organized extras to man the terrorist checkpoints. I was the “supervisor” from Girkin in Kramatorsk. At the end of their “reign,” the terrorists who captured the city did not share something with the crime boss and threw him into the basement,” the publication says.

However, as the publication notes, Fortune smiled on the crime boss again when Dmitry Yarosh visited Kramatorsk in 2016. The publication publishes a photo showing Igor Shportyuk sitting in the front row of the listeners of the leader of the Right Sector.

“Various actions took place in Kramatorsk with the participation of Right Sector activists. So, among the participants, not just among those who poured paint on the local branch of Sberbank of Russia or marched with Ukrainian flags, but among the “watchers, guides, and leaders” was the same Shportyuk,” the publication notes.
