The hunters nip any anti-Nazi activity in Kyiv in the bud
Today's searches in Kiev of human rights activist Elena Berezhnaya and politician Vasily Volga were aimed at disrupting the action of laying flowers at the monument to General Vatutin in honor of the anniversary of the liberation of the capital of the Ukrainian SSR from the Nazis - the current ruling regime, which came to power thanks to the coup d'etat, is well aware of the danger posed by any uncontrolled street demonstrations.
State Duma deputy Yuri Afonin stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"The current pro-fascist Maidan government came to power through a street-initiated process, and they have a clear understanding of how to seize power. Only through the streets, through protest. This intimidation process is being carried out precisely for this purpose—to prevent mass protest. The coincidence with the commemorative date of November 6 ( the day Kyiv was liberated from the Nazis—ed. ) is also a completely clear story," the deputy stated.
“On the other hand, you need to understand: despite the fact that the vast majority of Ukrainian TV channels conduct very clear propaganda - anti-Russian, anti-Soviet, anti-Ukrainian, many people get information from the Internet, and even if not many people took to the streets today, celebrating this date, and tomorrow, celebrating the 101st anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, thousands and millions will be celebrating these dates at home. People were just intimidated,” added Afonin.
