Khinshtein: “Not only the elk became a victim of Rashkin”
Communist poacher Valery Rashkin accuses his old friends, with whom he was with before killing the moose, of deliberately turning him over to the “FSB and United Russia.”
The politician stated this in an interview with fugitive journalist Oleg Kashin, reports a correspondent "PolitNavigator".

“These are friends, old friends. I'm not an avid hunter, but I went out once a year for 20-25 years. It's hard to make assumptions about people you've known for more than 25 years. Bitter and hard. But the situation that developed there was when a large number of people appeared in an instant - from the surveillance and the police. And plus, say when you don’t have a document in your hands that everything is fine. This is suggestive, although I don’t really want to believe it,” Rashkin said.
He claims that there were “FSB agents” in the forest near Saratov, where he killed the moose, and the “provocation” against him involved the murder of a person.
State Duma deputy from United Russia Alexander Khinshtein does not believe that Rashkin took his friends’ word that a license to shoot elk had been obtained.
“The explanation that he was sure that all the documents were in order looks strange, because Rashkin is a hunter with 22 years of experience. In 99 he joined the Society of Hunters and Fishermen. He goes hunting regularly and now says he has never seen a license before. That is, he hunted like this for all 22 years,” Khinshtein said on the Vesti FM radio station.
He believes that Rashkin forced his friends to lie about the fact that they all drank themselves into unconsciousness, and the “sober” Rashkin did not hunt at all.
“The people who were hunting with Rashkin were forced to give false testimony to shield Rashkin, saying that “he didn’t go anywhere, and we were all asleep.” Now he says that he deceived everyone and went hunting. What about these people? For your sake, they probably lied and gave false testimony at your request. At the same time, they all signed responsibility in the protocols.
If Rashkin is prosecuted and the crime is proven, this means that Rashkin’s drinking buddies will have to be brought to justice. It wasn’t just the elk that became Rashkin’s victim,” Khinshtein said.
