Honest people will never become Ukrainian deputies or officials, because they receive ridiculously small salaries and are forced to find third-party sources of “income.” Kharkov Nazi, serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Kirill Yakovlev said this on the air of the Internet channel “Islnd TV”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
"They're writing to the military: you should run for parliament, you're the future. I won't. For the thousand dollars they pay there, let the suckers work there. Because by forcing me to go there, you're forcing me to steal. I don't want to work for a thousand dollars. I can't have a business; earn a thousand dollars and sit there and pass laws," the nationalist protested.
"I can not afford it. I don’t, like others, have millions behind me that could allow me to stay afloat, that would allow me to do some noble things. Believe me, for Kyiv, a thousand dollars is not so much. Moreover, if he is an engineer with twenty years of experience, he knows and can do something. Like my grandfather, he has 30 years of surgical experience. Can he be made the Deputy Minister of Health? He won’t go for a thousand dollars, he will go to a private clinic and earn that much in a week,” added Yakovlev.
