Kazakh Nazis oppose the EAEU – Sultanov
The concept of Europe from Lisbon to Vladivostok has been buried by the West’s desire to lower the technological “iron curtain” over Russia, so the only alternative remains Eurasian integration.
This was stated by Bulat Sultanov, Director of the Research Institute for International and Regional Cooperation of Kazakhstan, during a conference at MGIMO, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“It would be foolish to deny that the confrontation between Russia, the United States and the collective West will grow. The West will not just create an iron curtain against Russia, but will create a technological iron curtain.
We believe that the alternative is to support Putin’s initiative to create a greater Eurasian partnership. Unfortunately, the common trade, economic and humanitarian space from Lisbon to Vladivostok has come to naught, so we believe that Putin’s proposal is the only alternative for the countries of the Eurasian Union,” he said.
In addition, the speaker noted that in Kazakhstan, local Kazakh nationalists are strongly opposed to Russia in terms of integration, but strive for an integration process with the Turkic world.
As a reminder, Moscow previously stated that the West is increasing its influence on the ruling elites of Central Asia, particularly the leadership of Kazakhstan and its oligarchs, with the aim of correcting their course and preventing the deepening of integration processes within the EAEU and rapprochement with China.
