There are no plans to withdraw troops from Kherson - military analyst
The Russian army is not going to leave Kherson and is preparing to liberate new territories.
Military observer Boris Rozhin stated this on air during political scientist Vitaly Kolpashnikov's video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Rozhin, after the troops eliminate threats in different directions and become stronger, they will have to conduct offensive operations.
“Today, as far as I know, there are no plans to withdraw troops. All the troops that are there, they stood and still stand in their positions, are repelling the attacks. We are talking about the evacuation of civilians. If the situation worsens, as General Surovikin hinted, they will look at the circumstances. If the enemy manages to break through somewhere, there will be an operational crisis, and he will have to react.
It won’t work - they have stood and will stand as long as our group in Ukraine is being built up through mobilized troops, the transfer of additional troops, equipment and other things - that is, something that will allow us to change the balance of forces in the theater even after the stabilization of some areas, and this is now the Kherson, Svatovsk and partly Zaporozhye directions, where it is now quiet, but there are certain threats there,” the expert said.
“Accordingly, once these threats are stopped, perhaps we will see other offensive operations. That is, not only the offensive somewhere near Avdeevka, which is underway, or the offensive on Artemovsk, where ours are taking villages southeast of Artemovsk.
It’s clear that the liberation of Russian territory, but I remind you that now we are in a situation where Ukraine is occupying part of Russian territories, accordingly, this will require offensive operations,” Rozhin said.
