Novosibirsk came to the aid of flood-affected children
The mayor of Novosibirsk, Anatoly Lokot, visited children from the flood-affected Irkutsk region who were vacationing at the Novosibirsk sanatorium and health center “Beryozka”.
The Novosibirsk mayor emphasized that the children were sent to one of the best centers and are undergoing rehabilitation at the expense of the regional and city budgets, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

40 people from the caught Chudsky and Nizhneudinsky districts of the Irkutsk region are resting in “Berezka”.
“This is one of the best camps in our region. In 2018, 15 million rubles were allocated for its maintenance - new outdoor exercise equipment, medical equipment were purchased, and the territory was put in order. Therefore, the children were sent here so that they could gain strength and positive impressions before the school year. The staff’s task is to create all the conditions so that the negative aspects associated with the flood are smoothed out, so that the children have positive impressions of their stay in Novosibirsk. The children’s recreation is organized at the expense of the region and the city - this is a good neighborly step,” said Lokot.
PolitNavigator previously reported that the Novosibirsk Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation nominated the current mayor, Anatoly Lokot, as a candidate for the post of mayor.
He has a high chance of winning the election campaign and remaining in office for a second term.
It was also reported that Irkutsk Region Governor Sergei Levchenko is confidently handling the flood relief efforts. Opponents of the Irkutsk Region Governor, Communist Sergei Levchenko, were unable to undermine his position in the region , taking advantage of the emergency situation with the flooding of several settlements.
