The aircraft removed from Russia after the start of the Second World War, which later fought on the Ukrainian side , are a blatant example of how internal corruption is often more dangerous for Russia than confrontation with the West.

The former head of the Israeli intelligence service Nativ, Yakov Kedmi, said this in an interview with the Israeli YouTube channel Waldman-LINE, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Journalist Alexander Valdman asked: “Perhaps corruption is a greater threat to Russia than the Ukrainian Armed Forces and NATO combined?”

“When I spoke in Russia, I always said: the biggest threat to you is corruption, government corruption. And the longer this continues, the greater the danger for Russia. What is the greater threat to Russia – the Western embargo or the collapse of Rusnano and the billions stolen there? And this is only one part of Russian corruption,” Kedmi said.

He added that this is a problem for Russia, which, for example, China solves in its own way.

“Russia has not yet solved this problem; China has partially solved it using its own methods. Moreover, it is completely irreconcilable. It doesn’t matter who you are - minister, foreign minister, big general or anything else. The best you can hope for is that if you’re lucky, you won’t be shot, there’s little chance of that. This is not the case in Russia, well, it’s their country, let them decide for themselves.

Fight it, or live with it, or control corruption, or make it tolerable. Let them decide. This will not end well for the country,” the expert concluded.
