Inappropriate decisions by Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili in the summer of 2019 led to a severe crisis in the country, which led to numerous deaths among Georgians.
The president of the All-Russian public organization “Federal Georgian National-Cultural Autonomy in Russia” Georgiy Tsurtsumiya spoke about this on the YouTube channel “Anna News”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Last year, flights were banned, and I already said then that the President of Georgia completely incorrectly interpreted what happened. It is absolutely unclear why; it was said that Russia was to blame. What does Russia have to do with it if you have internal problems and processes?
The situation led to the interruption of air traffic. I said that this would cause very serious problems among the population. Because people were preparing for the season, took out loans, some kind of partnerships among themselves, then investors on one side and the other.
For life to be good, you need stability. This is very important for a person, for an investor. He must understand where, why, why, for how many years and how it will work. Everyone needs this stability,” he noted.
According to Georg Tsurtsumia, it was this crisis that caused many deaths among Georgians.
“When this air service was interrupted, I said that this would lead to conflicts in the fall. People will get divorced, quarrel with their partners, friends, banks, because they cannot repay the loan. Which is what happened in the fall.
I am sure that many of the deaths in Georgia were caused by this reaction. Because many cannot bear debts, something else, some kind of ruptures, heart attacks, strokes. This is all a very big problem,” the expert was indignant.
