“I take this opportunity to invite you to visit Ukraine at a time convenient for you,” said the Ukrainian Prime Minister.
During a conversation with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, the Ukrainian prime minister called on the Israeli authorities to recognize the Holodomor as “genocide of the Ukrainian people.”
“Israel’s recognition of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as an act of genocide of the Ukrainian people is extremely important for Ukrainian society and bilateral relations in general,” Groysman emphasized.
The Ukrainian prime minister called on the Israeli side to study this issue in depth.
“I think that we need to study this problem in more depth so that we can talk about recognizing this tragedy against the Ukrainian people. If we look into the depth of the problem, we will see that the famine, which was artificially created by that regime, did not choose nationality. In modern times, all tragedies must be identified, assessed, and conclusions drawn for future generations,” he said.
