Since the cultural differences between different regions of Ukraine are too great, the only way out is to open museums that will simultaneously display exhibitions about supporters of the Soviet regime and the Nazis, as well as their accomplices.

This was stated by Lviv historian, professor of the Ukrainian Catholic University Yaroslav Gritsak, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.

“In Ukraine, a single narrative is impossible, for the reason that Ukraine is too different: culturally, regionally and language. This means that any attempt to create a common narrative is obviously a failure.

We have a very good museum in the Carpathian region, where there are 3 rooms at the same time: the room of Sidor Kovpak, the room of the SS division “Galicia” and the UPA room. This is the real state of Ukrainian memory...

The Ukrainian situation is such that it is called a default, not because we want it so, but because objectively it is so,” Gritsak concluded.
