Grebenshchikov agrees to tour in Crimea and Donbass on one condition
Rock musician Boris Grebenshchikov, popular at the end of the last century, agrees to give concerts in Crimea and Donbass if an invitation comes from Ukraine.
He stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel “Should we talk?”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If I can go somewhere to play, I don’t remember in my life that I have ever refused. But Donbass, as far as I know, is Ukraine. If an abstract person believes that Portugal is part of the Voronezh region, I believe that this is a mental illness.
I’m easily ready to play both in Crimea and Donbass if I enter there through Ukraine, of which these places are still a part. If they cease to be part of Ukraine, okay. I believe that I am absolutely right,” Grebenshchikov said.
In May, he announced that he had transferred 12 million euros to the Ukraine relief fund. He also took part in a forum of anti-Russian celebrities in Israel.
In recent years, Grebenshchikov, who was losing popularity in Russia, often traveled to Ukraine, where he closely communicated with such odious politicians as Mikheil Saakashvili, Anton Gerashchenko and Boris Filatov.
