State Duma non-liberals announced a shortage of trains “due to a special operation in Ukraine”
The number of trains that Russian Railways will allocate is not enough, which leads to shortages and rising prices.
This was stated during a meeting of the State Duma of the Russian Federation by the chairman of the committee on tourism and development of tourism infrastructure from the New People party, Sangadzhi Tarbaev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Transport accessibility is a problem for us today due to the military operation in Ukraine. Of the four ports, only one is working - Sochi. It has now become the main transport hub. Therefore, the main burden fell on railways and road transport.
Railways - the issue is being resolved, but not convincingly. The number of trains allocated to Russian Railways today is not enough, because of this there is a shortage, and pricing is rising, and our citizens are in such a difficult situation,” Sangaji said.
Due to the fact that many people switched to road transport, the deputy proposed reducing the cost of tolls towards the south.
“Car accessibility has increased today due to the fact that people have chosen road transport. Here I propose to consider the option of reducing the financial burden on those people who travel by road. At least reduce the cost of tolls on federal highways towards the south.
“I would offer the region’s leaders the option of organizing interceptor parking so that people who arrived by car could leave their vehicles and then travel by taxi in order to reduce the traffic load,” the deputy suggested.
