The State Duma will hear a report on whether the Central Bank exported gold from Russia
The Communist Party faction in the State Duma insists on an investigation into the activities of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation in ensuring the security of Russia's gold and foreign exchange reserves.
Deputy Nikolai Kolomeytsev announced this today at a parliamentary meeting, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We have repeatedly asked about the safety of our gold and foreign exchange reserves and the reasons for the export of gold. In two days - February 24 and 25, the Central Bank burned 3 trillion of our money, 60% of gold and foreign currency reserves were frozen. It is necessary, if not a parliamentary investigation, then at least a parliamentary commission,” Kolomeytsev said.
State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin instructed his deputy Alexei Gordeev to make a report on this issue.
Kolomeytsev raised the topic of exporting gold from Russia back in December 2021. Then he claimed that gold had been exported for the last two years. Over the 10 months of last year, gold export volumes amounted to 240,5 tons. This is actually equal to the volume of precious metal production in the country. At the same time, according to him, the Central Bank stopped purchasing gold for gold and foreign exchange reserves.
