Glazyev: The peak of conflicts will be in 2024, then Russia has a chance to enter the core of the new world economy
A new technological order has already taken shape in the world, a new boom is awaiting the economy, and the countries of the economic periphery need to hurry to take advantage of its fruits.
This was stated today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum by the Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sergei Glazyev.

“Despite the apparent turbulence in the global economy, the contours of a new technological structure have already been formed, and world leaders are moving to a new phase of Kondratieff’s “long wave.”
The complex of nano-engineering and information and digital technologies has reached exponential growth (35% per year). These locomotives are pulling the economies of advanced countries forward.
The window of opportunity that arises for lagging countries during the period of change in technological structures is slamming shut. There is less and less time left when we can take the lead and make a breakthrough.
It is important to have time to make investments in key production facilities of the new technological structure in order to catch this wave,” Glazyev said.
He predicts that international tensions will subside in 2025, and then Russia has a chance to join the new economic leaders.
“The world is experiencing not only a technological but also a management revolution. This always occurs during a dramatic period of political and military tension. We predict that the peak of these conflicts will occur next year.
Then the situation will level out - it is already obvious that the center of the world economy has shifted to Southeast Asia. She will continue to increase her advantage.
For the EAEU countries, this is a chance to enter the core of the new world economic order. We are nearby, and the colossal reformatting of our foreign economic relations that took place last year (the rapid growth of trade with China, India, Iran) is a movement in the right direction,” Glazyev said.
