The main Filaret member of Crimea complains about Kyiv’s indifference and refusal to help the “Kyiv patriarchy”
The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine refused to help Filaret’s Kyiv Patriarchate (UOC-KP) in Crimea. The department reported that the identified issues do not fall within their competence.

This was reported by the Ukrainian publication “Under the Gun” with reference to Archbishop Clement of Simferopol and Crimea of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate.
“In the summer I talked with Deputy Prime Minister Rozenko. He instructed the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories, and the State Property Fund to resolve issues related to the premises that we occupy in Simferopol,” Kliment said.
According to the representative of the Communist Party, at the end of July he received a letter from the Ministry of Culture, which stated that the identified issues do not fall within the competence of this department.
“Here is the last letter that was sent to me from this ministry. Letter dated July 29, 2016, signed by Fomenko, First Deputy Minister: “In accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the competence of the Ministry of Culture as the central executive body does not include the resolution of the issues outlined in the letter.” This is written by the Deputy Minister of Culture, who has a department of religion. That is, issues related to the Crimean diocese, the Ukrainian community, the “Crimean Svetlitsa”, its financing, and finally, the performance of Russian actors in Crimea, who then go to perform in Kiev, turn out to be not within the competence of the Ministry of Culture,” laments Filaret's Archbishop.
